Numbering, Porting and Emergency Calls

How UK numbers are allocated and ported, and the service limitations customers must plan for.

Last updated: 8 October 2026

1. Number allocation

A phone number is allocated for use with an active Call Bullet service; it is not sold to you and does not become your property. Allocation can depend on identity, business address, intended use and geographic eligibility checks. We may refuse or withdraw a number where required by law, regulation, a communications network, non-payment or misuse.

2. Registration information

You must provide complete, current and genuine information and documents. Tell us promptly if the business, address or use changes. We may pause activation or service while checks are incomplete or inconsistent.

3. Porting in

A port request is not submitted until you confirm it and provide the required bill details and authority. Port dates are estimates until confirmed by the losing and gaining networks. Keep the existing service active until completion. Incorrect account details, number ranges or authority can delay or reject the request.

Where offered, a temporary Call Bullet number can receive diverted calls while a port is pending. It does not prove the port will complete and the customer remains responsible for maintaining the existing line and diversion.

4. Porting out and release

Subject to verification, cleared charges and applicable rules, we will reasonably support a valid request to port an eligible number away. Do not cancel the service carrying the number before the gaining provider confirms completion. When a number is released without porting, recovery may be impossible.

5. Forwarding and caller identity

You are responsible for keeping forwarding destinations accurate and authorised. Use only caller identities assigned to or verified for your business. Routing, caller-ID presentation and availability can vary by network and destination.

6. Emergency calls

Call Bullet’s tracking numbers, browser and app calling, forwarding and AI voice agents must not be relied on as a substitute for a fixed or mobile service capable of emergency calling. Unless a separately contracted capability is expressly confirmed in writing, emergency-service location and calling are not provided. Keep an alternative means of calling emergency services available.

7. Service interruption

Numbers and forwarding rely on communications networks, internet access, devices, power and destination services. An outage or destination-line failure can prevent calls completing. Customers should maintain continuity arrangements appropriate to their business and report faults with the number, time, destination and example call evidence.
